Michael Musyoka grew up surrounded by music, graffiti, matatu art and the other beautiful vibrancies of Eastlands. This has been the key drive in his creativity. He loves colour and shapes.  In this show, he celebrates the modern aspects of life around him and marries it with memories and relics from the past. A budding cubist with near obsession for geometry, Michael paints with cunning beauty Life, Music and more unlikely subjects such as traditional music instruments and Mitush (slang for 2nd hand cloths – the modern day clothware of choice for most people in Kenya). His works both excite and intrigue the eye and mind.
