Kepha Musoti is a 3rd generation artist practicing in Kenya. He works in many mediums including oils on canvas, wood and metal.
His sculptures are inspired by daily aspects of life with a signature fluency of solid form and curves. Often working in series, he has captured faces, the African female form and now cloth on wood. His works tend to have an unintended surreal comical feel.
His conceptual works are often themed to tackle social inadequacies at the individual level and the moral inertia in the Nairobi society today.
Kepha Musoti is a graduate of the Buruburu Institute of Fine Arts (BIFA), Nairobi.
