Kamal Shah is one of the most accomplished artists in East Africa; he has been practicing for nearly 30 years.
Over the years, his works has grown towards abstract paintings and multi media wall sculptures as seen here. Whereas his paintings are ‘process induced’, his mixed media reliefs aim to deliver beauty and depth using easily found objects that are part of his audiences’ daily life.
He has held numerous solo exhibitions in Nairobi, Copenhagen, London, Mumbai and Goa among other cities. In 2006, he was awarded 1st prize in the mixed media category at the first juried contemporary Keny
